Excipients in topical patches

What’s an excipient, and why is it important?

An excipient (in the context of a patch) is an inactive ingredient added to the mix of active ingredients in order to aid in absorption of the active ingredients.

Unless you have a particular excipient you wish to use, don’t worry about it – the experts at ACT will handle that.   If you’re thinking about having a topical patch custom-manufactured, why not give us a call?
